(Senior) Information Systems Manager Summary of Responsibilities: The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are as listed below, but not limited to these:
  • Manages and leads the Information Technology team supporting both the end-users and Hotel guests.
  • Oversee and manages the Hotels\xe2\x80\x99 data center.
  • Oversee and manages the Hotels\xe2\x80\x99 applications & systems
  • Maintains and enforces quality assurance of all assignments, systems and operations in the department
  • Establishes and implements departmental goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures.
  • Develops, establishes, implements and maintains operating policies, standards and approaches for the Hotels as its IT Policies & Procedures. Adherence to Corporate IT policies and procedures, ensuring that these are reviewed and kept up-to-date.
  • Establishes and administers Hotels\xe2\x80\x99 IT Budget, capital plans, expenses, requisition, control and accountability.
  • Administrating Helpdesk tickets via Corporate Portal Helpdesk Support Suite
  • Responsible in maintaining network infrastructure stability, security, hardware equipments, system installation and troubleshooting
  • Performing Quarterly IT audits
  • Evaluates & assesses needs and priorities for Hotels\xe2\x80\x99 operation, maintenance, enhancement and growth.
  • Contracts negotiation and administration. Reviews and negotiates information technology applications, software, services and equipment to ensure that proper services are being provided.
  • Reviews bids and proposals. Administers the implementation of new and revised/ upgraded systems. Oversees the development, design and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages.
  • Staff recruitment, supervision, training, mentoring, professional and capability development as well as reviewing associate\xe2\x80\x99s performance.
  • Responsible for the development and review of all back-up and disaster procedures and plans.
  • Establishes and maintains effective communication with management, user departments and external vendors.
  • Establishes all housekeeping and control procedures, including physical and data security.
  • Evaluates requests for applications/software; researches and recommends solutions to technology needs, compatible with the Hotels\xe2\x80\x99 technology architecture and infrastructureand resource constraints.
  • Manages and oversees projects, developing & leading team members with various levels of expertise/mentors staff. Leads project team in system evaluation on the design, proposal and implementation of application systems for the Hotel. Evaluates and makes recommendations to the Hotel management and process owners.
  • Monitors trends and developments in computing, networking and multi-platform communication technologies; evaluates new operating system and/or network software, hardware, methods and techniques to improve systems/network reliability and performance; plans and coordinates migration to new technologies.
  • Maintains confidentiality with regard to the users and company information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
  • Maintains and updates application-related procedures in the department to satisfy audit concerns, including regular reviews of relevant documentation.
  • Be on standby duty during and outside office hours.
  • Ensures that all safety, health, security and loss control policies and procedures and government legislation are adhered to.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Computer Science /MIS/related discipline or equivalent
  • At least 10 years relevant experience, preferably in an international deluxe hotel. Knowledgeable on specification, design and implementation of application systems and Hotel Data Processing environment
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Related Project Management Certification
  • Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Microsoft Application products such as Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Visio, Project, etc.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods used in analysis and development of data processing applications; principles of systems and procedures analysis; programming languages applicable to systems in use; principles and techniques of computer programming;
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating,and change management.
  • Ability to manage the entire spectrum of information technology operations
  • Experience with implementation of information technology integrations in a large division/company
  • Project planning and management
  • Ability to motivate team members to work within tight timeframes.
  • Good knowledge of technology risks and IT general controls
  • Individual must work well under pressure and be able to manage multiple projects and issues simultaneously
  • Organizes workload, sets priorities and works within deadlines
  • Good written and interpersonal communication skills for customer handling and system documentation.
  • Analytical skills, proactive and pragmatic
  • Positive work attitude; good follow-up skills and ability to work independently
  • People oriented
  • Able to manage and motivate internal and external IT resources to meet project timeline goals
  • Strong leadership quality with good interpersonal, influencing, negotiation and communication skills
  • Innovative and creative in contributing ideas and applying technology to business needs
