What the role is:
This teaching role is in the School of Business.
What you will be working on:
As part of the role, the successful candidate is expected to fulfil the following responsibilities: - Conduct lessons for full-time diploma students and part-time adult learners. - Mentor students in applied projects to develop practical and industry-relevant skills. - Design and develop high-quality curriculum and course materials aligned with evolving professional standards. - Create and deliver customized workshops tailored for adult learners. - Collaborate with industry partners to integrate current practices and trends into the curriculum. - Participate in consultancy projects to bridge academic and industry needs. - Support strategic initiatives by actively participating in committees, student development activities, events, and competitions. - Lead the development and enhancement of programs, ensuring technical rigour and industry alignment. - Take on leadership roles within committees to drive innovation and excellence.
What we are looking for:
- Tertiary qualification in Law, Business, or a related field. Candidates with a law specialization (e.g., Contract Law, Business Law, Intellectual Property Law) and teaching experience in a second business domain are highly encouraged to apply. - Practical industry experience in business operations, legal practice, or consulting is advantageous. - Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners. - Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and manage classroom dynamics effectively. - Demonstrated expertise in facilitating learning and one other area from the following: 1. Legal Systems and Methods 2. Business Psychology and Management 3. Marketing Principles 4. Fundamentals of Finance or Accounting 5. Business Economics 6. Business Statistics
