About Our Client

Our client is an established financial institution, with a steadily growing presence in the space that they operate in. Due to the growth in their regional operations, there is now a newly created role for a Derivatives Counsel to be part of the legal team to support the expansion.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Legal and partnering closely with business stakeholders and other members of the legal team, you will provide legal and regulatory advice on the structuring of derivative transactions across a wide range of asset classes. This includes but is not limited to supporting capital markets, financing and related hedging products and transactions.

Requirements
You are a called to the bar in a common law jurisdiction with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience gained in private practice or inhouse with a financial institution and a proven track record in derivatives structuring. You are commercial minded, analytical and collaborative with an entrepreneurial perspective to create and define the role. A team player with excellent interpersonal skills, you are comfortable partnering and influencing a diverse range of cross-functional internal and external stakeholders.
