Our client, a fast-growing company in the retail industry with a global footprint, is looking to expand their team with a Regional Lead Counsel based in Singapore given the rapid growth. This is an ideal high-visibility role for a seasoned legal counsel to take on a wide scope of regional work with broad autonomy and in a truly international, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the APAC Head of Legal, you will be the main legal and compliance support for the region, advising the management team as well as drafting and negotiating commercial agreements. This role will also be responsible for compliance matters, where the role will be significantly involved in areas such as data privacy and FCPA. Mandarin skills will be viewed upon favourably, for liaising with both internal and external counterparts in North Asia.

Requirements

You should be a Commonwealth qualified legal counsel, with at least 6 PQE, with a strong legal foundation from a top firm earlier. This is an excellent opportunity for a Legal Counsel to transit into a lead role that works closely with the regional management in a dynamic, multi-national environment.
