The Office of Information, Knowledge and Library Services (OIKLS) invites applications for the position of Senior Library Executive. The successful candidate will execute the purchase and subscription of information resources especially databases and ebook collections. The incumbent will also manage the document delivery and interlibrary loan services for resources that are not in the library\xe2\x80\x99s collection to support NTU\xe2\x80\x99s teaching, learning and research needs.ResponsibilitiesPerform and supervise the end-to-end information resource purchase workflow (from purchase requisition to payment in Ariba) and manage records in the library management system to provide seamless access to end users.Collate and provide relevant usage data to facilitate librarians\xe2\x80\x99 evaluation in resource subscriptions and renewals.Manage and maintain accurate and active links to the resources to ensure the content are fully accessible to the NTU community.Implement the automation of DocDel service via RapidILL to improve work efficiency.Coordinate with other vendors for requests not available in RapidILL to deliver requested documents in a timely manner.Monitor and submit purchase requests for the document provision services charged by various vendors.Identify and recommend resources that are highly requested for purchases to optimize the library collection.Provide peer training and sharing to increase team knowledge and service impact.Manage ILL requests to ensure that all requested books are delivered efficiently and effectively to NTU Library and requestors.Administer payment for the loan services charged by other libraries/vendors (local and overseas).Manage invoices for items lent to other libraries (local and overseas) and monitor payment into NTU Library account.Respond to resources-related enquiries received via CEMS to assist users with required information or resolve access issues.Manage the team\xe2\x80\x99s role-based email, respond to enquiries, or escalate them to relevant librarians and colleagues for further actions.Collate and analyse enquiries to identify and recommend new resources, services or possible solutions to issues observed to the team lead and librarians.RequirementsA Diploma holder with at least 3 years of relevant work experience preferably in library and information science or service-oriented fields, or entry level candidates.Relevant working experience and demonstrated ability in business, finance, or procurement, library collection acquisitions or e-resource subscriptions will be advantageous.Strong working knowledge and experience with Microsoft software applications, especially Excel.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Familiarity with library management and procurement systems.Team player with good interpersonal skills and able to work effectively with users, colleagues, and other internal and external stakeholders.Adaptable to change, willing to continuously learn and keep abreast of emerging practices and technologies.Strong service mindset and excellent time management skillsStrong planning and organisation skills with attention to details.Hiring Institution: NTU
