Primary Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Receiving, handling, uncrating/unboxing large product in preparation for assembly.

\xc2\xb7 Assembly of customer\xe2\x80\x99s finished product at customer premises on time to contractual lead times and schedule.

\xc2\xb7 Accurate Placement of product using specialist measuring equipment

\xc2\xb7 Assembly and fitment of intricate sub assemblies

\xc2\xb7 Fitment and routing of cable

\xc2\xb7 Testing and verification of finished product

\xc2\xb7 Packing, handling, dispatch of return materials and packaging

\xc2\xb7 Use of IT applications to plan and execute work and update completion of tasks

\xc2\xb7 Communication of schedule and related tasks to colleagues and customers up and down stream to ensure seamless process flow.

\xc2\xb7 Provide training and coaching to new and less experienced colleagues and temp workers

\xc2\xb7 Supervision and guidance to temp workers to ensure safety and best practice at all times

Position-specific Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 A \xe2\x80\x98Safety First\xe2\x80\x99 mindset. Maintain focus and strictly follow safe working practices at all times.

\xc2\xb7 To maintain high standard of cleanliness designated work areas

\xc2\xb7 Must be hands on and technically minded with an interest in build and assembly of product.

\xc2\xb7 Experience in a production / manufacturing environment an advantage.

\xc2\xb7 Able to read, understand and execute in line with Standard Operating Procedures and Technical Instructions

\xc2\xb7 Able to build a strong rapport and working relationships with colleagues, customer and other third parties

\xc2\xb7 Take initiative to provide ideas for continuous improvement

\xc2\xb7 Manual work which entails long periods in standing position and handling and lifting of heavy goods

\xc2\xb7 Able to work well as part of team, sharing best practice and ideas and ensuring the safety of self and others

\xc2\xb7 Occasional requirement to support overtime and weekends during peak periods

\xc2\xb7 Support logistics activities in a warehouse environment.

\xc2\xb7 Receiving, inventory management and control, pick, pack, dispatch. Manual handling of product and equipment

Requirements

\xc2\xb7 Engineering or technically based qualifications

\xc2\xb7 Familiar and comfortable with using IT platforms

\xc2\xb7 Forklift license would be an advantage.
