The Role
We are looking for a technically skilled and entrepreneurial Senior Machine Learning Engineer to drive the development of advanced AI and machine learning solutions for financial applications. You will take charge of building, deploying, and maintaining innovative models for portfolio optimization, forecasting, and risk management. In this role, you will manage the entire product development lifecyclexe2x80x94from writing extensive code and designing robust algorithms to ensuring that project milestones and stakeholder expectations are met.
Key responsibilities
End-to-end product development

• Research, design, code, test, and deploy machine learning models and services tailored for financial applications such as portfolio construction and market forecasting.
• Take complete ownership of projects from concept through production, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

Technical innovation & problem solving

• Leverage state-of-the-art techniques to solve complex challenges in financial analytics.
• Continuously research and implement new methodologies to enhance model accuracy and efficiency.

Team engagement

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Data governance & compliance

• Ensure that all solutions adhere to stringent data security, governance, and regulatory standards prevalent in the financial sector.
• Implement rigorous testing and monitoring frameworks to maintain system integrity and performance.

Ideal Profile

• You possess a strong educational foundation with a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a closely related discipline, coupled with 5+ years of compelling hands-on experience in the full lifecycle of ML/AI solutions from initial design and robust implementation to successful deployment in production.
• You are an expert programmer fluent in Python, consistently writing clean and well-tested code, and you command proficiency across key ML frameworks including PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn.
• You navigate the world of natural language processing (NLP) with ease, expertly wielding transformer-based libraries like Hugging Face Transformers, employing spaCy or NLTK for sophisticated text preprocessing, and adeptly managing embedding storage and retrieval through vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or Milvus.
• You demonstrate practical mastery in integrating Large Language Models, leveraging tools like LangChain or LlamaIndex to construct innovative conversational or retrieval-augmented pipelines.
• You exhibit a robust understanding of data architectures and are familiar with big-data technologies like Spark and Kafka, complemented by experience deploying solutions on major cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• You bring a foundational awareness of time-series forecasting or risk-analysis workflows, with any financial background being a plus, and you understand the importance of software engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Ideally, you have a proven track record of productionizing NLP/LLM applications, such as chatbots, document Q&A systems, or summarization tools, and familiarity with MLOps frameworks like MLflow, Airflow, or Kubeflow would be advantageous.
• Bonus points if you have any experience working within regulated or security-sensitive environments, showcasing your ability to navigate complex compliance requirements.
