Somewhere reliable, but different.Your day to dayvoco Orchard Singapore is seeking a dynamic and passionate Senior Technician to be part of this diverse team!. As a Technician, you will ensure that routine maintenance is performed in order for the Hotels equipment to be operated with maximum efficiency to achieve operating efficiency, customer and guest satisfaction.Description: Perform all routine preventative, curative and general maintenance. Maintain clean and tidy plant rooms. Attend to all types of repair and maintenance work in the Hotel premises. Repair, maintain and replace guest room's fixtures and furniture. Assemble and set prefabricated pieces. Maintain and refurbish hotel and guest rooms wall, ceilings and furniture Repair and maintain guest room facilities, light facilities, furniture and equipment Prioritize work in line with guest requests and management Order and monitor fuels, lubricants and repair parts Maintain a level of broader knowledge which enables you to handle minor problems in all fields of the department Inspect guestrooms, public space and back of house areas to repair, touch up or replace light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall covering caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous repairs. Detailed record keeping in English is required for logs and inspection sheets. Follow up remedy work if equipment shows abnormality or update Assistant Engineer for further action Ensure to carry out visual inspection on electrical & mechanical plants and report any abnormality immediately Ensure to follow up on equipment preventive maintenance timely and properly Ensure proper record and log recording is taken daily at regular interval Maintain a level of broader knowledge which enables you to handle minor problems in all fields of the department Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Chief Engineer or Asst. Engineer.Requirements: Possess Nitec certificate in Facility Management or equivalent. 2 years of experience in related field. Experience with carpentry or painting work will be an advantage. Able to work rotating shifts. Candidates who can work permanent night shift will also be considered.
