Team Summary

Reporting to the Regional Risk Officer, the Corporate & Regional Risk Services team is responsible for:

  • driving general Risk Strategy for AP to protect Visa and promote trust in the ecosystem
  • supporting the effectiveness of AP Risk covering Corporate Risk, regulation, innovation, analytics
  • managing risk for the Global Issuing and Acquiring clients, and
  • liaising with Global Risk and AP regional cross functional teams
What a Senior Manager, Regional Client & Risk Services does at Visa

The Senior Manager, Regional Client & Risk Services will partner closely with the Regional Risk Client Engagement lead in AP. She/he will play a central role in the client facing team supporting tier 1 regional clients and fintech, lead Data & Technology projects and support strategic projects to drive greater Visa differentiation for Risk Asia Pacific. This role will work very closely with the in-market Risk Managers, hub Risk and cross functional colleagues identifying needs whilst liaising with respective Global Risk teams for guidance, support and implementation.

Specifically on regional client management, she/he will:
  • Be the risk manager for a select number of tier 1 issuers, acquirers and fintech partners in Visa Asia Pacific to engage and deliver engaging content on key initiatives, highlight areas for performance improvement and enable our clients to meet and solving security and risk challenges
  • Work closely with in-market risk managers to understand the challenges at a market level while distilling insights for regional relevance
  • Advise the account teams and hub & global functional leads on strategies related to complex operational, financial, legal and regulatory risk exposures
As the Risk Manager for these highly complex and multi-market clients, she/he is responsible to uphold trust in the Visa brand, championing security in the industry, differentiating Visa in the eyes of clients and key stakeholders whilst maintaining the integrity of the complex and fast evolving payments ecosystem.

Specifically, on Data & Technology, she/he will:
  • Identify, design and implement best-in-class analytics, benchmarking and diagnostics providing compelling and actionable insights empowering better decision making
  • Advise and support global data/analytics projects to meet the AP Risk client and internal needs
  • Lead proactive and reactive complex, ad hoc analytics needs from risk managers
In addition, she/he will support the Head of Corporate & Regional Risk Services on ad hoc global and regional strategic and operational initiatives that help Risk leaders better run their business in AP.

She/he will be a catalyst for transforming the Global Clients AP risk strategy and AP client facing data and technology tools, with the end goal of championing payments security & forging deeper client relationships.

Projects you will be a part of:

The Senior Manager, Regional Client & Risk Services will be a crucial member of the Corporate & Regional Risk Services team, the Global Clients teams and the key liaison to the regional global clients\' teams. Project examples:
  • Manage relationships with global issuers and acquirers (including resolving fraud & data breach events, providing stakeholder training, responding to adhoc queries & analytics requirements, and identifying opportunities to enhance the payment ecosystem and advance risk management best practice)
  • Lead responsible innovation initiatives to mitigate risks and embrace technology improvements
  • Roll out of AP pilots for state-of-the art data technology projects
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

What you will need
  • 10 years of experience across risk technology products / solutions
  • Proven track record in strategic and analytical thinking, relationship and project management
  • Extensive international experience or work experience in a multinational corporation
  • Profound understanding of current and emerging payments (risk) trends, including regulation, market environment, competitive landscape, technology and the threat of data breaches.
  • A track record in developing effective risk mitigation strategies and to sell those strategies to colleagues
  • Client focused, while aligning business objectives and rigorous risk management processes
  • High energy, confidence and humility are key traits
  • Full ownership, goes beyond the minimum requirements, not a \xe2\x80\x9ccheck-the-box\xe2\x80\x9d mentality
  • A proactive and solution-oriented problem solver who gets things done within a matrix organization
  • Proven ability to communicate and influence across all levels, both internally and externally
  • Undergraduate degree from top-tier institution required
What will also help
  • Deep expertise of the payments ecosystem preferred or alternately, good understanding of payments business and associated risks
  • Have excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong project management skills, able to multi-task and pursue multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Intellectually curious: finds stories in the data, not afraid to ask the right questions, demonstrated track record of mining data & intelligence for game-changing insights that generate big impacts
  • Graduate degree with a focus on general management will be preferred
