The Senior Manager will support AP head of corporate development and ventures to define and execute an inorganic growth strategy for the region. Visa implements a proactive approach to sourcing transactions, while also maintaining the best of relationships with entrepreneurs, bankers, lawyers, VCs, and PE funds active in the multiple ecosystems in which Visa operates.Responsibilities will include sourcing and vetting opportunities, supporting the construction of investment, acquisition theses with Visa stakeholders, facilitating due diligence, portfolio monitoring and reporting of strategic investments, and establishing relationships within Visa and external ecosystem partners.In this role, you are expected to:Perform industry research to identify acquisition and investment opportunities to support Visa\xe2\x80\x99s existing businesses and expansion into new areasBuild an informed perspective on market segments of interest to Visa, including the creation of market maps, target comparisons, and analysis of VC and private equity investment trendsCoordinate with partnerships, product, functional and market teams to support defining strategic acquisition or investment priority areas and managing a pipeline of high impact opportunities for inorganic growthDevelop investment, acquisition materials that outline strategic benefits, competitive landscape, commercial terms, deal terms, and other relevant information for potential transactionsSupport strategic investment due diligence workstreams across various domains including technical, business, financial and legal diligenceMonitor operational and financial performance of portfolio companies, facilitate quarterly performance analysis for individual companies and full AP investment portfolioCultivate relationships with FinTech\'s, VCs and other ecosystem partners to help identify and source inorganic growth opportunities aligned with Visa strategic prioritiesDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with all key internal and external stakeholdersQualificationsWhat you will need for this roleWe are looking for an individual with a structured mindset, curiosity about the payments industry, is results driven, and client focused. As an ideal candidate,
you should have:

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\'s degree preferably in Economics, Business or similar
  • fields
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience of which 8 years were in Investment
  • Banking, Corporate Development, Venture Capital, Private Equity, Management Consulting or Corporate Venture Capital
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including preparation of
  • transaction memos and analyses
  • Experience in competitive landscaping, transaction due diligence and
  • managing multi-workstream projects
  • Superior financial modeling skills and acumen
  • High level of intellectual curiosity, comfort in ambiguity, and \xe2\x80\x98white space\xe2\x80\x99
  • thinking
  • Comfort working in global environment impacted by different cultural and
  • business priorities

  • Financial Services , FinTech , Payment , directly adjacent industry experience
  • would be a distinct advantage
  • Strong network of contacts in the Fintech community and regional venture capital industry, willingness to establish additional relationships through industry networking and proactive outreach
  • Strong financial reporting and accounting background
Projects you will be a part of
  • As part of the team, you will get opportunity to work on strategically important

  • Identify acquisition and investment opportunities to support Visa\xe2\x80\x99s existing businesses and expansion into new areas
  • Develop market sensing processes for trend identification and opportunity prioritization
