Our vision is to be a caring community of inspired learners committed to serving with mastery.Reporting to Director Finance, the appointee will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Student Finance Team of Finance Department. You will lead a team of finance professionals and ensure the accuracy, timeliness and compliance of all student finance transactions and performs reporting in accordance with the relevant standards and regulations.[What you will be working on]Responsibilities:-Oversee and review work done by the Student Finance Team Scope includes, but not limited to, the financial operations relating to the following:
a) Student Fee - Billing and collection process
b) Oversea trips
c) Student enrolment
d) Administration of Endowment Fund
e) Maintain full set of accounts for Student Union and Constituent ClubsHandle budget projections and reporting to supervising ministry on government grants and related mattersReview and ensure timely submission of relevant reports to the various stakeholdersEnsure that the accounting journals/entries and relevant disclosure notes in the financial statements are properly prepared and reviewedLiaise with internal/external stakeholders on operation, reporting and audit related mattersIdentify, manage and implement projects to improve productivity and efficiencySupervise and develop a team of finance professionals, and foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvementSupport Director Finance in ad-hoc assignments[What we are looking for]Requirements:-Relevant educational qualification or experience in accounting related fieldProven track records in leading a Finance teamGood communication and interpersonal skills and possess the ability to influence and engage effectively with various stakeholdersSelf driven and motivatedProficient with MS OfficePossess strong concept of systems and the ability to drive process improvementSuccessful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.Closing date: 4 July 2024If you are shortlisted for the position(s), you should hear from us within 30 days of the closing date of the advertisement.
