JOB SUMMARY

  • Coordinates and orchestrates destination marketing initiatives across key markets in collaboration with Area Directors of Marketing
  • Works with brand marketing teams to localize brand-led creative assets and messaging for APEC markets by key audience segments, partners with digital marketing and social media teams to develop relevant programs to grow and activate our key source markets to execute destination marketing campaigns and seasonal promotions
  • Develops marketing brief with clear KPIs and conducts kick off for all new programs.
  • Is responsible for ensuring all key stakeholders of the program are aligned.
  • Is responsible for communicating programs to the market and corporate teams and ensuring all channels are leveraged (social, digital, sales, etc).
  • Reviews program performance in real time and modifies program as needed.
  • Partners with Directors of Field Marketing and other area marketing leaders, provides strong guidance on positioning and pull through of brands and advises field marketing on effective marketing communications planning, implementation and evaluation.
  • Conducts destination marketing training and develops resources and materials for Directors of Sales and Marketing with a focus on marketing planning, branding, positioning, messaging and storytelling.
  • Deals with own development of the process for new hotel ramp up and hotel positioning and messaging development. Partners with area marketing leaders to execute where needed.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education, Experience & Requirements
  • University degree required. Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in related field preferred but not essential.
  • Four or more years of managerial experience. International work experience strongly preferred.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English required; proficiency in other Asian languages strongly preferred.
  • Lodging industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of destination marketing - preferably in hospitality or consumer brands
  • Experience managing the work related to agencies and vendors. Demonstrated relationship marketing skills a must.
  • Prior experience developing integrated brand marketing campaigns across channels (digital, social, buzz, PR, sales) is required.
  • Proven ability to co-lead and work with cross-functional teams in support of specific business priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to take complex projects and efforts from conception to successful execution.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly, think creatively, and satisfy Internet speed-to-market requirements.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
  • Experience working with associates/ vendors/ customers in remote locations and international markets (multiple time zones).
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Operations & Culture
  • Is responsible to partner with Brand Management Leaders for regular brand marketing communication with the field and hotels.
  • Provides openings and/or conversions support for new hotels, particularly HALO properties and coordinates with openings and regional teams to ensure all elements of the \xe2\x80\x98marketing efforts\xe2\x80\x99 are executed on brand.
  • Provides marketing support for off-strategy hotels, as required by Senior Director.
Marketing & PR
  • Is responsible for executing effective brand marketing programs that achieve/surpass brand and continent performance goals.
  • Is responsible for executing customer-facing brand communications, not limited to brand-voice copywriting, use of the various assets and materials to ensure a on-brand communication style.
  • Partners with the APEC PR/Communications team and the area/field marketing teams to develop and execute buzz for the brands in APEC
  • Is responsible to ensure brand partnership activities provide brand equity benefits and enhance the guest experience.
Sales
  • Partners with the Continent Sales Teams as appropriate to ensure a coordinated Sales approach for all brands.
  • Ensures priorities are aligned with the brands\xe2\x80\x99 goals. Protects and strengthens the brands\xe2\x80\x99 competitive advantage by advocating for customer needs and preferences and supporting sound business decision-making for the brand.
  • Provides relevant and up-to-date brand information to ensure effective sales strategies and customer interaction.
Integrated Marketing Planning and Strategic Execution
  • Manage and support the continent destination marketing strategy.
  • Focused on key source markets, leisure destinations and KPIs.
  • Engages agencies, as required, in project to deliver the creative design and execution process to bring a program to market.
  • Ensures consumer messaging is clear.
  • Is responsible for ensuring all key stakeholders of the program are aligned.
  • Reviews program performance in real time and modifies program as directed.
  • Monitor competitive activity in the category.
Promotions/ Partnerships
  • Manage the work related to Revenue Strategy, develops and executes promotions/offers that drive KPIs for the continent or market (e.g., Enrollment goals, direct channel goals, driving leisure revenue, etc.).
  • Partner with analytics team to ensure proper tracking and communication of all programs.
