The Senior Manager, Employee relations will serve as an escalation point and provide ER and IR guidance to our Asia Pacific (APAC) Team. They must possess a strong knowledge of APAC law (looking for Singapore, Malaysia, Korea and Japan in particular), developing and coaching our team on best practices and instilling confidence in their problem solving and decision-making skills when it comes to ER cases and IR matters. They will set policy, procedure, and overall governance for the ER function. They will partner closely with our Regional Advisory Lead, People Business Partners, Advisors, and the legal team.   • Partner and sometimes lead highly sensitive investigations; providing findings, reports, and coach senior leaders through developmental, corrective, or remediation actions if necessary
  • Partner with learning to design, implement, and facilitate consistent training for company people leaders and team members
  • Map existing policies, processes and common practices across ResMed locations, and design and implement global people solutions with worldwide colleagues and legal, informed by best practice, metrics, governance requirements, and ResMed business context and culture.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders throughout the business to enable systemic change management and appropriately manage risk.
  • Collaborate with legal to advise on escalated, medium-complex and/or sensitive performance management and employee and industrial relations issues over multiple jurisdictions/countries
  • Set policies that limit ResMed\xe2\x80\x99s liability and proactively mitigate the number of employee concerns, collaborating with legal and business partners
  • Act as a peer leader, respected by senior leaders across the ResMed business. Engage, motivate and develop a team of People Advisors to be valued counselors to business leaders and managers.
  • Partner with cross-functional merger and acquisition team to ensure successful delivery of People integration activities.
  • Take lead on compliance reporting and audits.
  • Ensure consistent case management and reporting to help identify trends and mitigate reoccurring issues

In addition to your key leadership role within the People Experience team, you will have the opportunity to represent the People team on key cross-functional initiatives including M&A and organization-wide continuous improvement efforts.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - ability to present, train/facilitate
  • Exceptional partnering and influencing skills, using a transparent, consultative approach with business leaders, peers, and partners even without direct-line authority
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent judgment, and discretion
  • In-depth knowledge of HR practices and principles is required
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally, in multiple jurisdictions with knowledge and understanding of differing perspectives
  • Excellent project management skills and agility and resourcefulness to drive company-wide initiatives
  • High-level of personal integrity and confidentiality
  • Bachelor\'s degree; advanced degree a plus
  • 10 + years total ER/IR experience, with 2+ years managing a team
  • Robust workplace investigation experience
  • Extensive knowledge of APAC laws
  • Knowledge of Singaporean, Malaysian, Korean and/or Japanese language and laws preferred
  • Business Partnering experience a plus
  • Workday experience a plus
