The candidate will be a key member of the team, ensuring that clear standards are set for frameworks and policies and that these are adhered to, as well as ensuring RA is embedded, monitored and breaches escalated appropriately. Maintain Frameworks, Policies and Standards Annual review and out-of-cycle reviews of Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) with external benchmarking of Principal Risk Types (PRTs) Annual review and out-of-cycle reviews of Risk Type Frameworks (RTFs) by providing oversight and challenge to ensure RTFs are aligned to the standards and cover key components of the risk management cycle. Maintain Entity Risk Governance Standards (ERGS) and oversee the Country level rollout of ERMF and RTFs to branches and banking subsidiaries, including regular communications, tracking and monitoring of adoption. Oversee policies to ensure that interconnectedness of risks is understood, defined and challenge where policies are unclear, impracticable or duplicative. Review and challenge policies to ensure that they address critical risks, are principle based, can be tested for effectiveness, empower decision making and have been written with the end user in mind. Review and challenge critical Standards to ensure that key principles in parent policies or RTFs have been appropriately operationalised. Strategy and Business Support or drive the execution and strengthening of the Risk Appetite approach, for example the effective setting and monitoring of RA, stakeholder engagement and communications, and workflow improvements. Support change initiatives related to the transformation of the RA framework into an integrated, materiality focused and SMART approach (specific, material, actionable, relevant and time-bound). Support the recurring RA processes including the review of risk appetite statements and associated metrics, emerging risk identification, public disclosures, the RA metric cascade and the corporate plan challenge. Support risk profile analysis relative to appetite, in particular, strive to present a holistic view of the risk profile and significant trends by 'joining the dots' between reported metrics, business strategy and group resources. Liaise with RFO teams to interpret changes in reported levels for risk appetite metrics, and assess progress with the remediation of breaches (including progress with delivery against remediation glide paths). Proactively engage with risk teams on a continuous basis to ensure that RA is being adhered to, and the emergence of new risks is assessed for inclusion in the Group Risk Appetite Statement. Productivity Support simplification of Risk Sub-types in consultation with key workstream leads and RFOs. Support simplification of Standards to drive efficient risk management. Annual Disclosures Support the delivery of all external disclosures with respect to the ERMF, Emerging Risks and Risk Appetite. Processes Support Head, Framework and Policy Management to continuously improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the team's processes. Ensure RCSA for RA is adequately captured, monitored and reported. Co-ordinate the bi-annual review process of the group RAS and metrics cascade for a subset of Principal Risk Types. Regulatory and Business Conduct Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct. Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
