Company

Our client is a multinational engineering firm and is expanding in the region. They have a newly created role, seeking for a Japanese and English bilingual speaking, hands-on, individual contributor Senior Manager IT role to communicate and partner effectively with their HQ based in Japan to ensure alignment of the Asia Regional Hub with global strategies. Technical experience in IT support/ service desk and information security / cybersecurity are required to be successful in this role.

The Role

You will design and implement IT solutions for the Asia Regional Hub, ensuring alignment with global strategies and policies and manage contracts and internal transactions with HQ and other regional hubs. You will provide IT support to users under the Asia Regional Hub, including troubleshooting, incident response, and user education. You will act as the primary contact point for all IT inquiries from users, collaborate with other international hubs to ensure smooth communication and operations. You will be the regional lead for Systems Integration and Reliability Testing, ensuring the stability and performance of IT systems. You will monitor and analyze security logs, establishing and managing security policies, and implementing security solutions, provide security assessments and education to users, manage site network infrastructure, video conferencing systems, and other office IT equipment. Additionally, you will maintain the Group common platform and Microsoft365 solutions and manage devices such as PCs, iPhones, iPads, and multifunction printers.

Your Profile

You must possess at least 10 years of IT expertise in fast-paced, global/ regional environment, Japanese and English bilingual language capability to communicate effectively with the Japan HQ and deploy regional initiatives. Experience in business support infrastructure, tackling challenges in Microsoft365, PC, iPhone, base networks, service desk and IT user support experience to be the go-to problem solver, delivering top-notch support and exceeding user expectations. Information security/ cybersecurity experience is essential to proactively mitigate threats and ensuring data integrity. Lastly, experience in navigating a global company\'s regional headquarters is essential to understand the complexities of a global landscape, fostering seamless communication and collaboration.
