IT Portfolio management process, Project methodologies and how they align with software development life cycle
Develop Portfolio dashboard with an objective of driving timely decisions, actions and progress to meet the project KPI’s
Establish an effective Program governance model working closely with the IB Strategy & transformation office. The governance will include setting clear processes and practice for managing project intake, demand, change management and defining project priorities that align with Overall IB organizations priorities
Establish measurable program KPI’s and accountability matrix key for the successful execution of projects
Establish clearly defined processes for issue, change, risk and decision management process for projects
Establish an effective project communication management process with clear lines of responsibility for managing effective communication throughout the project lifecycle
Work closely with architecture teams to select appropriate tools for managing project plans, project artifacts, project dashboards, issues, escalation and change management process
Setup periodic review process for monitoring the project progress, communicating timely to stakeholders, setting required meetings to drive timely decisions and closely monitoring any deviations from committed project KPI’s. Drive actions and progress needed for managing issues, risks, changes and ensuring project is on track to deliver on committed schedule, budget and scope
Work closely with IT security & compliance team to ensure project documentation and approvals comply with established standard processes and any audit issues are addressed timely
Work with IT Operations team and application functional heads to streamline and improve overall IT Project management practice ensuring smooth transition of project deliverables to the BAU team
Work closely with functional heads to identify skills needed and knowledge required by project team for effectively running the projects in their domain. Workout professional development plan for the team tied to required skills and roadmap
Work closely with Finance and procurement teams to ensure project KPI’s are on track, vendor SLA’s are met, issues are addressed timely and required actions are taken and managed to ensure delivery on time & cost
Setup regular meeting with project vendors to ensure quality of resources, skills and delivery as per the committed SLA’s. Manage any deviations with a clear action plan and track progress to stay on course
This position requires flexibility and willingness to work across time zones as the IB has Global centers in Singapore, The Hague (The Netherlands), Cardiff (The UK), Washington DC (US) and Geneva (Foundation office - Switzerland). IT Projects are global in nature hence coordinating with teams across time zones is essential for the success of the projects,
Knowledge & Experience Requirements
Degree or Masters in IT or related discipline
Minimum 10+ years’ experience in a similar role
Have extensive experience in working with global teams and driving organizational efficiencies
Strong leadership skills and a bility to work at a senior level driving strategic initiatives for the organization
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, business process analysis and management
Highly proficient in driving large scale global IT projects and seeing them through successful closure
Excellent knowledge of portfolio, program and project management practices and software development life cycle methodologies
Capable of managing complex business scenarios, analyzing data and recommending actions for improvements
Good analytical and problem solving skills
