PURPOSE
Deputize and support the Appointed Actuary (AA) in areas relating to valuation, reporting and capital management.
KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES
Lead the EV and IFRS reporting teams and oversee the end-to-end reporting processes, ensuring results, changes and impact are well communicated to stakeholders
Strengthen governance and controls in EV and IFRS reporting. Ensure reporting frameworks implemented are technically sound and in compliance with Group policies
Inspire team members to adopt a change mindset; embed enhancement of reporting processes and improving delivery times and quality as part of the team's culture
Deliver business value by providing insights arising from actuarial results, as well as highlighting risks in advance to management
Establish good working relationships with and engage Group Office regularly on actuarial topics
Deputize the AA in his / her absence; support the AA in technical reviews, business and strategic discussions whenever necessary
Inspire and develop team members, so as to build a strong team culture as well as a high-performance team
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor Degree in Actuarial Science
Qualified actuary with at least 8 years of relevant experience
KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS
Very strong technical skills, especially in EV and / or IFRS 17
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Track record in leading high-performance teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
