What the role is:This is a generalist Policy Officer role in the Partnerships Team in the Arts and Heritage Division. Collectively, the four teams in the Division - Arts, Heritage, Planning and Partnership Teams - oversee Singapore's Arts & Heritage policies, set the policy agenda, fund and govern the National Arts Council (NAC), National Heritage Board (NHB) and national cultural institutions, and shape the long term strategies for the sector. AHD supports MCCY's efforts to contribute to a caring people, a cohesive society, and a confident nation.What you will be working on:As a Policy Officer (individual contributor) at AHD, you may be involved in a very broad range of work including: Policy reviews and analysis, with a focus on industry development Development of sectoral strategies Working with international partners, including multi-national organisations Project management Strategic communications and crisis management Administrative work including setting up meetings and taking minutes. You will work closely with Political Office Holders, senior management, public officers in other Ministries, key Statutory Boards such as NAC and NHB, as well as cultural institutions such as the Esplanade, National Gallery Singapore, School of the Arts and the Singapore Art Museum.What we are looking for:AHD functions in a complex policy space, with multiple stakeholders to manage and hard trade-offs to make.
