Job Description


What the role is:You will contribute to the planning and development of national clinical services to enable better care and better value for patients in our public hospitals. You will also work with MOH divisions, other government agencies and industry stakeholders to identify and analyse gaps in the current healthcare landscape to co-create strategic policy solutions to shape the private hospital sector accordingly. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.What you will be working on:a) To plan, review, develop and implement policies on sustainable national clinical services and capacity plans, for example mental health, paediatric or community hospital services b) To review, develop and implement sustainable and adaptive hospital bed capacity management and monitoring plans, to enable the hospital system to respond adequately to the services demands related to surge, pandemic, civil emergencies/mass casualty incident planning and Business-as-Usual (BAU) demand c) To work with relevant stakeholders to review, develop and implement policies and plans related to high-cost technology / new medical technology framework d) To plan, review, develop and implement policies to shape the private hospital sector, such as commissioning projects to procure services from private providers to meet the population\'s needsWhat we are looking for:

  • Relevant education in healthcare or related field \xe2\x80\xa2 Minimum three years working experience, preferably in healthcare-related roles \xe2\x80\xa2 Prior experience in health care administration/management/strategic planning/policy would be an advantage \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to work effectively in teams and manage and engage different groups of stakeholders \xe2\x80\xa2 Broad perspective on healthcare system \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong interpersonal and communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Positive, self-motivated and high standard of integrity \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to adapt in a fast-paced working environment \xe2\x80\xa2 Project management skills would be an advantage Key Competencies Require \xe2\x80\xa2 Thinking Clearly & Making Sound Judgements - Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to support the crafting of sound policy recommendations; ability to grasp timelines, operating context and ground realities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Learning & Putting Skills into Action - Possesses the drive and curiosity to learn and apply new skills, knowledge and new ways of working. \xe2\x80\xa2 Improving & Innovating - Ability to seek continual improvements, and to innovate and experiment while managing the risks involved. \xe2\x80\xa2 Working Effectively with Stakeholders - Ability to mobilise and rally partners and stakeholders towards a collective purpose. As part of the shortlisting process for this role, candidates may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
