What the role is:

We are seeking a candidate who will manage travel-related contracts, analyze government expenditure, and collaborate with stakeholders to optimise the government travel program. Our travel-related contracts currently include airlines, corporate travel agents, hotels, travel insurance, corporate card and local transport. Overseas travel is not required for this role, and the candidate will report under VITAL\'s Procurement & Travel Services Division.

What you will be working on:

• Analyse government spend data to make informed decisions and identify opportunities for cost consolidation, optimization and process improvement. \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct strategic sourcing, demand aggregation exercises, and project management. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure effective management of ongoing contracts related to the government travel program. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop strong relationships with public agencies including policy owners, provide consultative advice on travel related policy and best practices. \xe2\x80\xa2 Mitigate escalated feedback and service issue resolution between users and suppliers. \xe2\x80\xa2 Facilitate engagement activities with key stakeholders, through sharing sessions, service reviews and service issue resolution. \xe2\x80\xa2 Stay current with public sector and industry developments, embrace new technology to ensure that the travel program remains relevant to meet the government travel needs. \xe2\x80\xa2 Assess and manage strategic suppliers\' performance based on established service levels and KPIs. \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify future strategies and sourcing initiatives to streamline and improve future travel. \xe2\x80\xa2 Research, plan and prepare tender specifications, evaluate tender proposals, and provide inputs in the procurement cycle.

What we are looking for:

• Mid-level position where candidates with at least 3 years of relevant work experience in business travel, hospitality or service sector would be preferred. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good knowledge and understanding of the business travel industry would be advantageous. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent written, presentation and verbal skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 A Strategic thinker with strong negotiation and analytical skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Independent individual and team-player with optimistic disposition, takes initiatives and is resourceful in challenging situations. \xe2\x80\xa2 Capable of effectively interacting and building relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
