Senior Manager, Sales Academy SEA

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Working with their line manager, as well as functional lead and colleagues in the EM Hub, plus local country stakeholders, this role is responsible for the implementation of people capability strategies and the specific execution or adaptation of associated training programs to best fit and apply to the local country employee base. Via the focus on people and their development, support business initiatives to help deliver against our financial objectives, while helping carve out careers, optimize talent, and leverage one of the brands most precious resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with direct line manager, and market stakeholders to first understand channel strategic priorities and begin to fit or create training needs to support the execution of these
  • Further shape an annual training needs plan that mirrors market strategy, and both directly addresses local needs, supported by an executional approach that ultimately optimizes local adoption.
  • Build SEA training calendar and scheduling, lead the full scope of program and ensure a smooth communication of all programs with stakeholders and participants to ensure maximum returns from the program.
  • On-board local training community with agreed training priorities, mapping strengths and areas of improvement that are required to ensure high quality programs are delivered in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Support and coach the local trainers themselves to elevate their own capabilities thus ensuring quality execution, with reach, on a local level.
  • Leverage all global sales academy tools to deliver functional training programs, and product related programs that provide bite-sized product insights supporting global / market level campaigns resulting in higher sell thru and stronger results.
  • Organize a regular cadence of training community touchpoints, both with market teams and with country teams so all feel engaged and part of a larger market level vision.
  • Agree Sales Academy program deployment and delivery standards to ensure consistent delivery of programs to an agreed and measurable outcome.
  • Provide feedback to the hub-based Sales Academy team and as needed to the Global Sales Academy team directly to influence future content, programs and tools.
  • Include in training needs and calendar of focuses content that includes annual Connect Engage Inspire and Every Moment Matters updates/ re-launches.
  • Lead and manage other local training initiatives including capability focuses on specific groups of stakeholders within retail, i.e. Store Manager and District Leader Development programs/ annual graduation events.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of a culture of learning and continuous personal improvement in stores.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative methods, as well as established tracking systems/tools to evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Use blended learning methodology to maximize on training resources and tools. Maximize on online and technological tools for store staff self-learning for basic skills and classroom/OTJ for advanced skills.
  • Manage and optimize the training budget.

Professional background:
  • Functional: 8-10 years in sales and/or Retail Training, ideally with retail focus.
  • Industry: ideally in apparel/fashion/shoes or FMCG.
  • Leadership: People manager, multi markets 2+ years.
  • Exposure: Sports, Marketing, Account Marketing, Instructional Design, Content & Program development.
Educational Background:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in business or human resources.
  • Relevant training certifications.
Knowledge, skills & abilities
  • Good MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Fluency in English and local language of region.
  • Good analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Geographical mobility.
