For more information, click here .Role reports to: Senior Director, Self-Care R&D, APACLocation: SingaporeTravel: 10%What you will doThe primary responsibilities of this role will include the continued development and expansion of the short and long-term pipeline for the Self-Care Restoration portfolio in Asia Pacific (ex. China), i.e. in India, with specific R&D leadership in ORSL Brand Development Team. This includes leadership of team that will design, develop and launch products as per internal and external requirements and liaise with Kenvue cross functional teams as well as third party manufacturers. The role will represent technical workstreams in the entire product development cycle, high-quality innovation and executions on time and within budget. Additionally, this role will serve as the primary lead for building the Self-Care Restoration technical capability strength of the entire product development team.

• Serve as the R&D technical lead to help ideate, develop and deliver novel innovation for the Kenvue APAC business
• Work closely with cross-functional R&D partners such as Analytical, Packaging, Manufacturing Sciences & Technology, and Stability to manage entire projects end to end
• Closely collaborate with other R&D functions such as Regulatory and Clinical to guide and develop innovation strategies, development plans, and claims and go-to-market approaches
• Lead partnership with business partners (Marketing teams) to understand key consumer insights and unmet needs that serve as the primary goal upon which to develop and deliver on consumer health improving innovation
• Lead evaluations of external technologies for potential opportunities and applicability to the portfolio and lead the technical relationships with the selected partners
• Serve as R&D lead for core project teams and provide technical mentorship to junior level scientists.
• Manage the work and development of small team
• Serve as technical capability lead for Self-Care APAC organization including, but not limited to, the following activities: Leadership at Technical Review Forums, Leadership/Ownership of Self-Care process/ways of working improvements through globally led Kenvue QMS initiatives, and accountability for enabling best practices for importation projects

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pipeline creation and E2E execution of innovation projects in APAC region with a focus on Restoration Need States (e.g., due diligence lead, technical strategy, documentation completion, technical governance, etc.). Manage external institutions, CROs, and technology development companies to ensure smooth project execution.
• Focus on development of talent within the India Self-Care business including a focus on product development but also with respect to scientific evidence generation development and a key understanding of the India regulatory landscape.
• Serve as regional lead for the advancement of organizations understanding of the Restoration category including the shaping of our procedures and ways of working to be fit for purpose.
• R&D Lead on Restoration Brand Development Team

Other duties include:

• Contribute to regional activities within the broader R&D organization such as talent related initiatives, digital related workstreams, and external innovation explorations.

What we are looking forRequired Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in Pharmaceutics or related technical fields; Masters degree or Ph.D a plus
• At least 10 years of professional experience
• Background in OTC/Regulated Foods formulation and process development preferred
• Experience leading a team
• Strong team leadership and business partnering capabilities, ability to represent Self Care and ORSL in senior forums
• Ability to research and apply industry emerging trends to maintain business competitiveness.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other departments and divisions within and outside Kenvue to achieve desired outcomes
• Knowledge of GMPs, GLPs, SOPs latest regulatory trends and global regulations as appropriate
• Experience in developing E2E new product development technical project plans
• Knowledge and experience with regulated products and associated requirements including ICH, Local Health Authority (e.g., FDA, TGA, MFDS, etc.) compendia (e.g. USP, JP, EP, etc.)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point, and have strong oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of programs such as Power BI will be helpful
• Ability to work individually (independently) as well as on a team.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks

Desired Qualifications:

• Capability of applying diversified expertise in technical principles and implications of product/technology outcomes on the larger function/organization
• Broad (e.g. global) knowledge of the Self Care business
• Knowledge of clinical strategies for both regulatory approval and/or claim substantiation including coordination of clinical supplies
• Experience with building and delivering presentations to leadership to both inform and influence decision-making
• Demonstrated experience in writing and/or approving applicable research documents for regulatory filings (e.g., IND, NDA) or product launches
• Knowledge of IP strategy
