Job Description


You will be taking a newly developed and pivotal role in IC ROAP and be a member of the Leadership team reporting directly to the General Manager, IC ROAP. The primary goal will be to ensure that the SBU has a articulated long-term growth strategy and a detailed implementation plans to deliver the desired financial and organizational development outputs. You will need to work across the commercial, technical and product management teams to align the on where we play, growth adjacencies, and what products are needed to grow in both existing and new markets. Upskilling and building selling excellence within the sales organization, as well as driving product management and complexity reduction will also be important to delivery of the strategy.

Main Responsibilities

Build the strategic growth plan to transform to a high PC and high EBIT SBU, focusing on segment mix improvement. Regular review cadence to track progress and address gaps.

Develop market intelligence tools and drive regular reviews to better understand underserved segments, new adjacencies opportunities and competitive activity.

Champion the Voice of Customer process to revalidate market intelligence findings.

Develop clear go to market strategies for newly identified opportunities and optimize marketing mix for existing segments served.

Work closely with Technical and Product Management teams to identify any technology or product gaps that may be preventing the delivery of the growth strategy.

Working closely with the sub-regional leader to manage an active M&A target pipeline targeting good strategi fit assets, assume oversight of acquisition integration activities.

Drive the effectiveness of product management and complexity reduction.

Lead the Selling Machine rollout within the SBU.

Develop performance scorecards for the sales function and harmonize selling processes in the SBU.

Lead the digitalization of the selling process. Key Competence Requirements

Qualifications

A degree in Chemistry or Engineering augmented with an MBA is highly preferable.

10 or more years of experience in sales and business management, with good understanding of the customers, business cultures in the SBU.

Holist understanding of PPG\xe2\x80\x99s value chain, able to understand key issues in the technical, manufacturing and supply chain areas.

Excellent presentation and influencing skills, capable of driving change internally and externally.

Highly effective communication skills. (verbal and written)

Solid business acumen and strategic thinking capability (techno-commercial acumen a plus)

Ability to work with a large degree of autonomy, capable of mobilizing actions and people across both the local and global business organizations.

Rich experience of working in a cross-cultural global business environment.

Ability to lead and successfully work with staff with different cultures and academic background.

Naturally inquisitive and able to understand value chains from multiple industries to better understand the business current or potential value propositions.

Strong understanding of the value selling process and able to articulate what it will take to develop a world class sales force.

Familiar and hands on with digital tools used in the selling function particularly CRM.
