What the role is:We are looking for a Data Strategy and Governance officer to define and implement key initiatives under STB\'s data strategy to enable STB to be a data-driven organisation.Working with the Chief Data Officer and directors in Technology Transformation Group (TTG), you are required to develop the data strategy to enable STB to, achieve its vision of being a data driven organisation. You are also expected to prioritise and ensure implementation of key initiatives identified in the areas of data exploitation, systems development and data governance and management to achieve the business outcomes laid down in the data strategy. This includes how we leverage data to obtain a deeper understanding of our visitors so as to fine-tune our outreach and encourage footfall and/or spend; and how we leverage data to establish a 360-degree view of key accounts to better support and develop our industry. Underpinning this would be the development and improvements to be made to STB\'s data governance and management policies, frameworks and processes.As STB officers are a key resource in enabling the realisation of being a data-driven organisation, working with the Chief Data Officer and Human Resources, you play a critical role in identifying suitable programmes and initiatives to uplift the data competencies of business users in STB in accordance with their job roles. The intent is to ensure that officers acquire the necessary data skills that are expected of them to be effective in their job.What you will be working on:1. Collaborate with divisions in Technology Transformation Group (TTG) and Marketing Group (MG) to define and implement data standards for key visitor data to facilitate cross-analysis, and work with relevant divisions to assess learnings from pilots and recommend approaches moving forward to achieve visitor outcomes identified in the Data Strategy.2. Collaborate with divisions in TTG, Experience Development Group (EDG) and Policy & Planning Group (PPG) to define and adopt common data standards and house all interactions to establish a 360-degree view of key accounts to better support and develop our industry.3. Work with Chief Data Officer (CDO) and system owners to establish and strengthen data governance and management policies and practices in STB to ensure continuous compliance and uphold trust with our stakeholders.4. Advice internal business stakeholders on data governance and management best practices to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements.5. Develop and conduct data governance and management trainings and associated communication rollouts to internal stakeholders.6. Work with CDO and HR to identify and implement suitable programmes and initiatives, such as formalised training, share-share projects and/or brown bag sessions, to upskill officers\' data capabilities.7. Prepare the Annual Data Report and Annual Government Data Strategy Key Performance Indicator Report for submission to Ministry of Trade and Industry and Government Data Office.8.
