About the Department

Business Area South-East Asia (BASEA) is the business area within Region Asia Pacific (APAC) which focuses on the vast opportunities and remonstrance presented by our 7 affiliate offices & business entities. With its business area office located in Singapore, we are looking for a passionate profile within the commercial affairs and strategy function to join the team.

You will be part of the BASEA Commercial Affairs and Strategy (CAS) team, partnering with affiliates within our business area to develop and execute commercial affairs strategy, build capability, and drive cross-country collaboration to optimise resource utilisation.

The Position
This role will report to the CAS Senior Director, BASEA

  • The Senior Marketing Manager for Diabetes GLP-1 will develop the Diabetes business across the business area by working closely with each affiliate as a key partner in developing their commercial plans and inspiring commercial initiatives across functions and geographies to maximize business opportunities. In collaboration, set the strategic direction and ensure the commercial execution hereof.
  • You will be bonded to building market knowledge and generating insights for strategic and tactical management and partnering with affiliates to ensure commercial success.
  • You will benchmark performance internally and externally through effective collection and evaluation of market data and insights, including market research. You will generate solid insights to strengthen the Diabetes market and aid affiliates in defining local activities and identify opportunities for growth through market insights. You will ensure the global strategies are adapted to local needs and assist key marketing projects to ensure execution in the affiliates.
  • You are to ensure launch excellence, and strategic focus, and be a centre of excellence for Diabetes GLP-1. You will assist with pre-launch and launch activities and act as a key partner in the development of launch plans. You will follow up on agreed key milestones with affiliates and maximise the commercial success by being an expert within Diabetes GLP-1 and act as a strategic partner to the affiliates, the BA office and APAC
  • For this role, you need to have a close working relationship with marketing heads, sales managers, product managers, and marketing teams in affiliates, Region APAC and International Operations. You will visit HCPs with sales teams, and interact with HCPs during events, KOL management and agencies, consultancies and event management companies, in the execution of marketing projects.
Qualifications
  • A relevant academic degree in Marketing, Medical, Business Administration or similar. A post-graduate degree related to Marketing, Economics or Health Management is a plus.
  • Proven track record with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 3 years within marketing management.
  • Combined regional and operational experience is a plus, with the ability to oversee across teams and geographies.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
