The Operations team partners closely with ResMed's five business leaders to understand their needs then providing a variety of products and services to help them meet those needs including Customer and Technical Services, Global Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, manufacturing, logistics and distribution. ResMed's Supply Chain Planning function is embarking on a transformation journey with advanced end-to-end Planning capability systems enabling dynamic collaboration with stakeholders, real time visibility and advanced analytics to optimise supply chain.

The role of Material Planner is an integral role within the Materials Planning Team, focused on ensuring material supply meets production requirements with optimum inventory levels, whilst considering supply chain risks by collaborating with stakeholders to forecast, plan, analyse and facilitate on-time materials delivery to support customer requirements

Let's talk about the role:

  • Lead best practice materials planning including, supplier forecast management, inventory management, purchase order management and supplier capacity management
  • Proactively manage impact of disruptors such as demand fluctuations, component shortages, logistics issues, supplier issues or other by working closely with broader Operations team and supplier
  • Achieve best possible outcomes in materials supply by building strong supplier relationships, good supplier management, effective negotiations and strategic materials planning
  • Take ownership of material planning issues which may arise, lead and/or delegate take any follow up actions
  • Ensure planning parameters are maintained and process is in place to drive timely updates and review of these parameters
  • Schedule supply of materials/components to meet production requirements and safety stock levels
  • Day-to-day order management and management of deliveries
  • Actively contribute to the development and support of material planning processes and benchmark against best practice and review ways to make continuous improvements
  • Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas of improvement
  • Monitor and control inventory levels against agreed target levels
  • Manage run out of materials and change over to alternatives
Let's talk about you:

Required:
  • Degree qualification in Engineering, Science or Business discipline
  • 3+ years experience working in Supply Chain ideally in EMS, Electronics, Medical device, Pharmaceutical or FMCG industries.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills as the role has to influence across various levels
  • Committed to delivering high quality results, overcoming challenges, focusing on what matters, execution.
  • Continuously looking for opportunities to learn, build skills and share learning both internally and externally.
  • Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
