Looking for a Senior Material Planner who is experienced in forecasting and procurement of raw materials for a world leading manufacturer in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry.

Client Details

Our Client is a world leading manufacturer in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. With the growing business pipelines and large investments, they are currently expanding and setting up a new manufacturing site. They aim to maintain and improve their current performance both locally and regionally of which they are seeking for a Senior Material Planner to be based at their new plant in Singapore.

Description

You will be reporting to the manager directly. The majority of your responsibilities will include procurement of raw materials as well as forecasting. You will need to collaborate with relevant teams to ensure the security of materials while assessing the risks of the supply base and objectives of the business, as well as maintain the stocking parameters of materials for purchase.

Your responsibilities include:

• To handle the forecasting of materials required for production at the site
• To ensure that all processes are accurate and efficient
• To ensure that stock parameters and policies for key raw materials are optimised to meet product needs, value, and supply risk profiles on a regular basis
• Provide recommendations for new stock parameters and policies to the Planning and Logistics Manager for consideration by appropriate governance authorities
• Utilise and maintain inventory forecasts and actual usage according to the latest production plan, taking into account trends and turnover rate
• To constantly update the standards of performance management and KPIs
• To support peers or Subject Matter Experts in compliance with all appropriate governance and procurement processes
• Implement purchasing processes in ERP system, such as creating Purchase Orders and maintaining master data
• To ensure that all data of replenishments based on raw materials is accurate in SAP system
• To coordinate with suppliers on all delivery requirements and actively solve any issues related to the deliveries to ensure that the schedule goes smoothly as planned
• To achieve prescribed targets by applying GPS standards and participate in improvement programmes

Profile

You should have a Degree in Engineering / Business or other relevant disciplines and have some years of related working experience in supply chain planning. It is essential that you possess strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and have strong presentation skills. You should have the basic understanding of supply chain process and be able to process large amounts of data with computer skills such as Microsoft Tools and ERP systems.
