Responsibilities

• Create plans, forecasts and schedules materials planning to meet operational requirements.
• Ensure all materials are in accordance to quality and technical specification requirements.
• Optimize inventory planning using data inputs such as demand, past usage trends and sales forecasts.
• Expedite and manage material delivery from local & overseas suppliers.
• Work closely with engineering, quality, production, purchasing to address any quality and delivery issues.
• Work closely with inventory integrators to ensure timely JIT deliveries to the production.
• Conduct analysis on material costs, identify opportunities for optimization, cost savings, and Make recommendations based on findings.
• Monitor data input from SAP material system or other IT system to ensure data accuracy.
• Review data integrity for the Bill of Materials (BOM), evaluate usage and cost of materials.
• Monitor, analyze budget against actual to drive inventory optimization or other strategic buying opportunity, at site or regional level.
• Carry out routine inventory control audits and support inventory checks to validate accuracy.
• Participate in the EH&S programs and takes personal responsibility to ensure safety adherence.
• Drive continuous improvement programs, CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) activities and additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent in related fields.
• 5 years of relevant experience in material planning, logistics or supply chain management.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good interpersonal skills to work with team members, internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Positive attitude, highly adaptable to changes in a fast-pace environment.Effective in driving process improvements and project implementation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Access, SAP, Qlik sense or Data Analytical tools.
• Excellent analytical, planning and problem solving skills.
• Ability to undertake complex analysis to create information and to interpret data and trends.
• Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against timelines.
• Relevant aerospace, manufacturing or engineering experience is a plus.
