The position

In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues across BASEA to plan, execute and advise on medical affairs activities for Obesity & Diabetes. The role will also ensure the timely, accurate and credible building of scientific and medical knowledge, communication to and from the external scientific community and within the organization. This role will be reporting to the BASEA Medical & Marketing Senior Director.


Other role tasks are as follows but not limited to:


Work with affiliates within Business Area South East Asia and align strategies, as well as ensure Business Ethics compliance within medical affairs. Represent business area BASEA across APAC, international operations, global medical forums Plan & execute business area activities in collaboration with region APAC & affiliates (Advisory boards, regional KOL events etc.) Advocacy and deployment Oversee the identification, engagement, and strategic deployment of regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) advocates through scientific exchange in cardio-metabolic space with focus on obesity and diabetes care. Provide medical and scientific support for Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other Healthcare Professionals (HCPs such as nurses, pharmacists, etc.) in collaboration with affiliate medical team, on a product/project specific basis. Ensure coordination of medical strategies on a product/project level and nurture specialist on the product/project within his/her responsibility towards internal and external customers. Create, develop and execute scientific communication strategy, and manage organization and performance. Develop and coordinate the Real world data generation and strategy across BASEA in collaboration & alignment with BASEA affiliates.

Qualifications

Candidate with M.D qualification. Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience within the pharmaceutical industry. Excellent oral and written English communication skills. Strong ability to work independently on scientific topics, Medical strategies, project management skills while having strong cross-functional collaboration with good methodical and logical thinking. Regional and cross-cultural experience will be an added advantage.
