Senior Network Engineer - Security Background

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer on a 1-year contract basis with a high possibility of an extension.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Operation, support, and maintenance of Asia network infrastructure, including support for relevant systems, data updates, reporting, and user authorization management
• Support special infrastructure-related projects in the region
• Creates and is responsible for the product backlog, and determines the sprint backlog prior to every sprint through prioritization by business value and/or customer benefit
• The engineer ensures stable operations as per the service level agreements, IT security guidelines, user privilege management policy and regulatory requirements, e.g. in connection with the backlog; organizes and is responsible for a meaningful assessment of the user stories
• Communicates and is responsible for customer and stakeholder management at various levels both locally and globally
• Acquisition, ongoing development, and transfer of operational/process-related/IT knowledge on assigned issues
• Application and ongoing development of the necessary skills to set up new, future-ready digital architectures
• Customer and interface management, including needs analysis, advice, and support for central functions and clusters with regard to assigned issues
• Ensuring that internal and external standards are met, in particular with regard to regulatory issues, reporting, compliance and auditing in the context of assigned issues and applying best practices
• Compliance with security standards and ensuring stable operations with regard to products, services, processes and systems.
• Recognition and problems specific to own specialized area; assessment of these problems using standard processes; preparing/developing solutions.

Experience and Requirements:

• At least 8 years of experience in networking
• Specific knowledge on network products like Cisco, Fortigate, and Bluecoat.
• Have advanced knowledge of Juniper SRX, SSG & Checkpoint Firewalls.
• Cisco routing and switching platforms: - Nexus 5K, 2K Cisco 4500, 3850, 29xx F5 Load Balancers (LTM, GTM, APN, iRules
• Knowledge of various Network Protocols and Technologies (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VRFs)
• Experience in designing infrastructure to meet the performance requirements of the application based on the data collected from the legacy system and model for the
• Experience in SDWAN and ACI
• Shares specialized knowledge within cell and/or chapter.
• Extensive experience in Workplace and Unified Communications related support topics.
• Good analytical skills with the ability to think outside the box.
• Relevant knowledge of regulatory framework and IT governance.
• CCNA and other professional certifications - Good to have
• Good communication skills Track record for working well with other cells, including the Asia and global teams.
