About the Department

Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.

We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.

Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

Job Responsibilities

  • Processing of cheques for clearing, checking of cheques for acceptability, data entries and verification
  • Handling of enquiries/escalations from branches, business units and contact centre
  • Handling of exceptions including calling of customers
  • Verification of inward cheques and IBG clearing operations
  • Processing of GIRO applications, customer and account data maintenance, etc.
  • Perform End-of-Day Reconciliation, collate Statistics and month-end reporting
  • Participate in adhoc projects, CTS Cheque/IBG Bank Industry testing and any other SRO initiatives
Job Requirements
  • Minimum University degree holder from approved university
  • Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in the same position (in branch banking or back office operations, particularly in area of cheque and GIRO clearing)
  • Good with numbers, fast and accurate with processing & data entry
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Excel, Words & Powerpoint
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
