Job Responsibilities:

• Strategic
• Perform Spend Analysis to support sourcing strategy and annual plan development.
• Perform study of supply market intelligence (market, vendor, product, commodity, etc).
• Implement procurement programs and develop knowledge and skill improvement within Sime Darby Industrial Malaysia.
• Support the development and drive the implementation of Group Procurement strategies, policies and initiatives at Sime Darby Industrial Malaysia.
• Contribute to the development of procurement planning processes.
• Lead/Manage the procurement processes at Sime Darby Industrial Malaysia level, tender management.
  

• Operations
• Ensure new vendors are pre-qualified in accordance with GPPA/Division SOP requirement.
• Oversee the procurement process arising from Group wide purchase requisition.
• Conduct tenders in accordance with Division SOP/GPPA and make recommendations to Tender Committee.
• Supplier Classification, Relationship Management and contract management.
• Know, understand and stay abreast of industry trends, benchmarks, best practices, etc.
• Analyse past and future demand volumes, inventory trends and current inventory levels.
• Drive best practices and reductions in Total Cost of Ownership (i.e., supply programs, catalogues) at a regional/local level.
• Perform Cost Benefit analysis of strategies and initiatives.
  

• Accountability & Impact
• Understand and implement the company ESH policy.
• Ensure implementation ESH activities planner program. (Inspections, Medical surveillance, JMP, ATO, PTW, CHRA & etc.)
• Ensures workers are involved in the identification of ESH hazards/risks and environmental aspects/impacts and the development of controls to manage safety and health risks and significant environmental impacts.
• Ensure implementation of safety culture tool. (SI, HR, RTS, Take 5 & JSEA).
• Ensure Implementation & compliance of Life Saving Commitment (LSC).

Job Requirements:

• Possess minimum Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain/ Engineering/ Business Management/ any related field with 3-5 years strategic end-to-end procurement experience
