We are currently looking for a Senior Procurement Manager APAC.

Job location: Singapore or Shanghai

The role

• Manages all the site procurement activities to assure a cost-effective and timely supply of quality materials and services.
• Improves the site\xe2\x80\x99s procurement processes to ensure they are efficient and fully in compliant with Catalent\xe2\x80\x99s global procurement policies & procedures.
• Identifies new supply sources, qualifies vendors, and nurtures strong vendor relationships.
• Negotiates purchasing prices and payment terms and manages contracts.
• Creates RFPs, including some e-sourcing events, invites key suppliers to provide proposals, evaluates and negotiates proposals, selects suppliers, and awards business.
• Resolves vendor\xe2\x80\x99s pricing, quality, and delivery problems.
• Works closely with internal stakeholders like the supply chain team and BD team, etc. to manage the inventory level and demand forecast.
• Coordinates with global procurement to take advantage of all Corporate discount opportunities, and other resources and market intelligence.
• Reports site spending and savings (MCR reports) and participates in global procurement calls on a regular basis.
• Other duties as assigned.

The candidate

• Education or Equivalent: BA/BS in Business, Finance, Engineering, Purchasing, or other operations related field, Graduate Degree in Business Preferred. 5+ years of purchasing experience; Global Operations, finance, and matrix management experience.
• Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
• Excellent proactive problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Extensive knowledge of procurement strategies, tactics, negotiation, and contracting skills.
• High personal integrity and ethics with uncompromising standards.
• Strong motivational and leadership qualities.
• Well organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, focused, and able to prioritize work (all the more critical than the solid line Manager will sit in a different location).
• Determined to improve the overall throughput and financial goals of the organization.
• Advanced PC skills (specifically Excel, PowerPoint & tools like BRAVO, the Dun & Bradstreet Supplier Risk Manager, the CAPEX tool & the TCP tracker).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to bridge relationships with a variety of individuals and between various departments, sites, functions, and levels of the organization.
• Able to work in an international team-based environment, intercultural skills.
• Very good command of the English language (oral & written) and ideally of one additional regional language.
