About Team

J.P. Morgan Payments Technology Production Management team is looking for a strong Senior Production Support Engineer to support our Premier Clients. Our team is responsible for the production management governance including managing technology relationship management. This is a highly visible role and requires strong tech, problem solving and client relationship management experience, and able to thrive in a fast paced, high pressured environment.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities across multiple technologies to support our Premier Clients, including:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or related fields
  • Minimum 7 years of experience working in large scale production management environment
  • Previous working experience in Banking is a bonus, but not mandatory
  • Expertise in application development and support environment with more than one technology and multiple design techniques
  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming (SQL, Java, Python, etc.)
  • Proficiency with a variety of platforms, including Unix, Linux is a must
  • Understanding of Database like Oracle and Cassandra.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools like Geneos, Splunk, etc will be added advantage
  • Experience in DevOps and SRE tools and processes
  • Extensive experience with observability strategy specifically in defining and delivering SLA's for critical services
  • Tools and Dashboards: Experience in building operational dashboards for enhanced monitoring and telemetry
  • Experience with creating self-healing solutions for critical Applications
  • Change, Release, Problem Management and Incident Management: Follow all standard services as per ITIL in resolving/mitigating Issues
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
  • Experience in handling critical application outages in an large scale operations & driving root cause analysis and remediation
  • Proven ability to understand and troubleshoot complex problems under pressure
  • Passionate for making things better and driving action with sense of urgency
  • Proven ability to work in a demanding, fast paced environment and handle multiple, competing priorities at one time
  • Good to have - knowledge of Cloud Engineering. Understanding of private cloud principles and exposure to public cloud offerings such as AWS, Azure, or similar technology is preferred
  • Automation and Efficiency: Understand manual process currently carried out and implement scripts or leverage tools/technologies to automate and create efficiency
  • Ticketing System : Service Now knowledge preferred used for Change , Incident , problem or service problems
  • Clear analytical thinking and excellent communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to develop technical SME and business knowledge
