Purpose of the job
The Project Engineer for Condition Monitoring System (CMS) will be responsible for coordinating the design, testing and delivery of this new technology on the Bukit Panjang Light Transit (BPLRT) enhancement project. As the on-site Project Engineer on a multimillion dollar project, you will collaborate with the product platform as design authority in delivering the new CMS equipment from design to delivery within the specified contractual key dates. You are the representative for the CMS deliverables of the project. There are 3 key systems to which CM applies being Rolling Stock, Signalling and
The systems under Condition Monitoring include Rolling Stock, Signalling Equipment and Power Rail. Key responsibilities will include the following:
(1)Managing all CMS deliverables on the C801B project.
(2)Lead internal and external meetings with Customers and gain acceptance of the Final Design for CMS engineering deliverables.
(3)Ensure traceability of the contractual requirements of the CMS up to the validation.
(4)Define as required the project requirements related to CMS in alignment with the product platform.
(5)Support the System Integration team in defining the interfaces between TCMS, Signalling System and Rail Mapping equipment with the CMS core system.
(6)Support the Testing and Commissionning Team with the installation and configuration of the on site equipment / servers ensuring proper set up and communication.
(7)Coach a team of warranty / Software engineers to become key users of the systems in a LTSS framework.
Qualifications & Functional Knowledge
Education

• Degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, electronics, electronics and communication, or equivilant industry experience.

Relevant experience required (i.e. directly linked to the requirements of the position/role)

• Experience in Railway engineering environment, diagnostics for rail vehicles prefered however, services, railway maintenance or integration engineering also applicable.
• Experience in managing Customer and Internal stakeholder expectations in delivering QTC.
