The Position

We are currently seeking for a Senior Project Purchaser to join BW Offshore. This is a 12 month contract role based in our Singapore office and will report to the Senior Manager Material Management.

You are responsible for

• Responsible for procurement of medium to large equipment packages, in accordance with Supply Chain (SC) related procedures
• Ensure compliance with BW Offshore\'s Supply Chain (SC) related procedures and project specific Material Management (Procurement) plan
• Provide regular status and progress reporting (Procurement Status Report (PSR), etc.)
• Maintain relevant knowledge of various commodities, available manufacturers and sources
• Sourcing and development of Bidders List
• Pre-qualification of suppliers
• Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs)
• Evaluate quotations, carry out bid clarifications, condition bids and negotiate with suppliers
• Review supplier\'s qualifications on Terms and Conditions and coordination with in house Legal team on the review of such qualifications
• Perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) / Life Cycle Costs (LCC) analysis
• Prepare recommendation for award
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders in IFS
• Verify supplier\'s production schedule, ensuring the supplier has a complete and capable plan for meeting the delivery requirements, and work closely with Expeditors on relevant packages
• Identify potential and actual disruptions in the supplier\'s submission and delivery schedules, propose mitigating measures and work closely with supplier to remedy situation
• Certification of progress or milestone payments
• Complete supplier performance evaluation and coordinate input from other department / disciplines
• Finalization of account
• Manage contract close out, document retention/archive activities
• Supervise and lead a group of Project Purchasers where necessary
• Perform other procurement discipline tasks as required, such as expediting, logistics coordination and material receiving

Education And Experience

• Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain

Relevant experience may compensate formal education * Ideally 8 years of relevant experience, primarily in the area of procurement

• Experience in offshore oil and gas industry is an advantage
• Previous experience with ERP systems

• Good understanding / knowledge of ERP systems
• Understanding and knowledge of the technical, contractual and commercial issues related to design and engineering of FPSOs is an advantage
• Fluent in English (oral and written
