The Department of Child Development provides specialist diagnostic and intervention services to preschoolers who have developmental, emotional, and/or behaviour needs. We support children with a range of conditions such as autism, speech and language The Department of Child Development provides specialist diagnostic and intervention services to preschoolers who have developmental, emotional, and/or behaviour needs. We support children with a range of conditions such as autism, speech and language disorders, global developmental delay, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, selective mutism, oppositional defiant disorders. We place high emphasis on working with the child's family to facilitate the child's learning and development. Job description You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team developing a framework for mental well-being screening and intervention services for parents/ caregivers of children seen in the Department of Child Development, both in the clinic and community setting at the North East region of Singapore. Duties will include: Providing evidence based psychological assessment, intervention and case management to clients both at the clinic and home setting Working across disciplines to deliver transdisciplinary services both at clinic and community settings Developing and supporting program planning and implementation Developing and delivering workshops and training programs for caregivers, team members and community providers Research and service improvement projects Data analysis, evaluation and report writing for the project Job Requirements At least a Master Degree in Psychology (Clinical) Eligible for Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) full membership Eligible for registration with the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP) Effective interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, and good clinical skills Ability to work independently as well as in a team, and in a fast paced environment Preferably have at least 5 to 7 years of relevant working experience Preferably with working experience with young children (i.e., toddlers and preschoolers) and/or with children with autism. Experience working with parent-child interactions, providing psychotherapy with adults, and/or developing clinical services would be an added advantage.
