Job Description

• Assist the Managers on matters related to quality assurance and material development of Personal & General Equipment (PE & GE).

• Evaluate tenders and quotations for PE & GE.

• Craft and update technical specifications for PE & GE.

• Investigate and solve PE & GE quality issues.

• Handle and resolve customer complaints on PE & GE quality issues.

• Carry out on-site quality inspection of PE & GE at local and overseas production factories.

• Inspect incoming PE & GE deliveries and supervise the Quality Inspectors (QAIs) on their day-to-day work.

• Work with other departments on the management of PE & GE quality issues.

• Liaise with other departments & customers on technical matters related to PE & GE.

• Conduct market technology watch on the latest trends / developments for PE & GE and carry out development of PE & GE for implementation.

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or equivalent).
• Able to interpret technical specifications, product brochures, test reports and technical drawings.
• Experience serving National Service as a Combatant in the ARMY and familiar with the usage of personal military equipment or sports-enthusiast familiar with the latest technology and trend in outdoor equipment or sportswear in the market. Experience serving National Service in the SPF or SCDF will also be considered.
• Strong analytical, customer relations and problem solving skills.
• Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Able to travel overseas for work assignments for up to a week at least 6 times a year and work on Saturdays or Sundays occasionally.
