Find out how you can make a 10x difference. Senior QC Technician 10x Genomics is looking for an outstanding individual to join its Quality Control team. This person will be responsible for 10x instrument testing, routine raw material QC testing that is associated with Next Generation Sequencing chemistries. As well as ensuring a reliable supply of quality consumables, this position may require extended periods of sitting or standing and extensive work using laboratory equipment. This will be a non-exempt position in 10x Quality Control team. Individuals applying to this position should have a basic understanding of industry manufacturing and quality control testing workflows. This individual must be a self-starter, quick learner and detail oriented, work well in a team atmosphere, have good communication skills, ability to adapt and thrive in working at a fast-paced environment.

What you will be doing

• Perform QC testing of defined procedures. Testing includes instrument QC, and consumables QC like raw material, and intermediate parts.
• Must be able to follow work instructions and standard operating procedures but still able to identify discrepancies.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation.
• Complete QC batch records and Receiving Inspection Reports using Good Documentation Practices.
• Ability to execute QC workflows from submission to batch closure
• Effectively identify and communicate any complications that arise from QC testing. Ability to work with engineers/scientists to establish and maintain a solution.
• Maintain laboratory to clean room standards required in the production of Life Science products.
• Maintain accurate and consistent laboratory skills, despite performing repetitive tasks, to ensure valid experimental results.

To be successful in this role, you must have

• Secondary School / ‘O’ Level / SPM or equivalent required, NTC / NITEC / Diploma Certificate or equivalent preferred
• More than 7 years of working experience preferred.
• Experience in laboratory experience in manufacturing and QC testing of life science products, such a DNA sequencing, PCR or other nucleic acid-based technologies

• Some experience in instrumentation QC is a plus.

• At least 3 years of training experience preferred.
• 3 years of experience as a team/line leader is a plus.
• Strong team player and detail oriented
• Good communication skills
• Ability to read and understand SOPs and equipment user manual.
• Able to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet strict deadlines in an evolving environment. Is cool under the pressure and enjoys a challenge.
• Flexibility of work schedule to meet the needs of manufacturing.
• Good hand-eye coordination and fine manual dexterity is needed.
• Strong critical and logical thinking with ability to analyze problems.
• Relevant experience in a production environment working with standard production control tools – ERP, LIMS, inventory control, work orders is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic statistics is a plus
• Desire to be part of a rapidly evolving organization and taking products and processes to the next level.
