Senior Research Executive (Food Product Development)

[What you will be working on]

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible to conduct research and provide technical services related to Food Technology including method development, formulation and sensory analysis. He or she will also be engaged in development of functional or healthier food prototypes and also conduct efficacy studies for the bioactive components.

• Apply scientific principles in research, development, production technology, quality control, packaging, processing, and utilization of ready to eat foods.
• Conducts advanced research, and new product research and development of ready to eat foods.
• Develop new and improved methods and systems for food processing, production, quality control, packaging, and distribution.
• Study methods to improve quality of foods, such as flavor, color, texture, convenience, or physical, chemical, and microbiological composition of foods.
• Plan and implement sensory analysis projects
• Work to improve carbohydrate quality and manipulation of macronutrient to lower the glycemic response and insulinemic response of ingredients and mixed meals.
• Support the development of healthier food prototypes with attention to details on the nutrition and regulatory requirements.

• Qualification in Food Technology/Food Processing/Food & Nutrition related areas with minimum 2 years of experience in the industry
• Fresh graduates with the relevant skillsets will be considered
• Proven track record of working on industry-driven projects
• Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated diplomacy in building strong relationships with different stakeholders
• An innovative mindset in discovery, evaluation, and application of new technologies
• Knowledge in nutrition related projects will be an added advantage
