The School of Biological Sciences (SBS) is a school of the College of Science. It was established in 2002 with the mission to make a strong contribution to biological and biomedical sciences. Research areas at SBS include infectious diseases, immunology, neurodegenerative diseases and telomere biology and genome function. Since then, many talented individuals from around the world and Singapore have joined SBS as scientific leaders, and researchers.
A Senior Research Fellow or Research Fellow position is immediately available in the laboratory of Associate Professor Gao Yonggui. With the support of research grant, this applicant will be working on protein translation and quality control involving dysfunctional protein degradation to avoid protein aggregation and disease.

Job Requirements

PhD in structural biology / biochemistry / protein chemistry -
Minimum 4 years of postdoctoral experience (for Senior Research Fellow position) -
Experience in structural biology, such as Cryo-EM or crystallography, would be preferred. -
Candidates with good experience in recombinant protein preparation (molecular cloning, protein expression, and protein purification), RNA /RNA-protein complex in vitro handling, as well as biophysical/biochemical characterization of protein and its complex, are also encouraged to apply. -
