Team Overview: Research Insights is a small yet high-performing and high-profile team. Leading on Preqin's analytical content and responsible for the firm's house view', the team's research and analysis is delivered via a range of media, including long-form research reports, short-form research notes, and presentations (both in-person and virtual). The team is externally facing, regularly presenting to key clients, at internal and external webinars and engaging with global press. Existing team members have worked for GPs and LPs, as well as government agencies, with experience across all asset classes and geographies. Role Overview: The role within the Research Insights team will leverage Preqin's extensive proprietary database to produce actionable research. The Research Insights team leads Preqin's detailed research, the majority of which sits behind a content subscription paywall. The Research Insights team works closely with Preqin's Content team, which consists of experienced former financial journalists and an internal editorial team. Roles and Responsibilities: Research and write high-quality market analysis that contributes to Preqin's research agenda Identify data-driven insights and trends from large data sets, with a focus on quality and accuracy and actionability Leverage tools and techniques for data analysis, including statistical and quantitative methods, collection tools, third-party tools and financial datasets Ensure Preqin's data and content is highly focused, relevant and applicable to industry practitioners and our clients by constantly monitoring trends and themes, and engaging with the market Key Requirements for this Role: At least 2-years' professional experience in a research environment Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Finance, Statistics or Economics, or equivalent experience Experience of or interest in producing research commentary addressing alternatives markets, such as private equity, venture capital, private debt, real estate, infrastructure or hedge funds Strong analytical skills, with advanced Excel skills a minimum requirement. Additional data science and programming skills highly desirable Strong writing and presentation skills.
