PURPOSE


  • Maintain the risk management framework

  • Construct an effective enterprise risk management function

  • Second line review of TRM requirements

KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES

  • Implement ERM framework and oversee all aspects of risk management function

  • Provide holistic independent view on risk issues, review risk assessments and the mitigation strategies proposed by first line

  • Support the organisation in undertaking Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) and preparation of ORSA report

  • Partner key stakeholders in identifying and assessing risk and controls, with constructive working relationship with first and third (internal audit) line of defence

  • Monitor risk exposure against risk indicators, review the KRIs and planned management actions

  • Conduct KCSA control checks to improve the internal control environment

  • Ensure risk incidents are properly handled and escalated where necessary

  • Drive risk management committees

  • Manage MAS outsourcing requirements, Cyber Risk Management Enhancement, Compliance with crisis management and BCM

  • Prepare reports for submission to the senior management, risk committee, audit committee, board committee, FWD Group and relevant stakeholders

  • Participate in risk control activities and projects such as risk management and compliance solutions and tools in support of the dept objectives in assisting the Board and Management in their risk and compliance oversight roles

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor Degree in Actuarial Science or any other discipline

  • 10+ years insurance experience in actuarial and/or risk management functions

  • Prior experience in second line or third line function

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY

  • Strong understanding of the insurance landscape

  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand broader business issues

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Meticulous with the ability to multitask and meets deadlines with minimal supervision

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage internal and external stakeholders

  • Highly influential and persuasive

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong planning and organizational skills
