SAP workload on the Azure platform is strategic for Microsoft\xe2\x80\x99s customers. Microsoft Azure is the platform of choice for many partners like SAP and customers to host SAP centric solutions in public cloud. SAP is hosting SaaS and PaaS offers for their customers on Azure.

As a Senior SAP Architect Engineer, in Azure Specialized you will be focused on enabling, helping and supporting SAP to integrate SAP software, SaaS, and PaaS services into the Azure platform. Beyond that the team develops solutions and reference architectures for SAP workloads on the Azure platform.

Reliability is top of mind when running SAP on Azure. This oportunity will all you to engage in designing automated tests, capable of detecting gating regressions in the platform, which can adversely impact SAP on Azure.

The team is spread globally with three main locations of the SAP headquarter in Walldorf in Germany, the Microsoft headquarter in Redmond, WA, and Hyderabad, India. The main communication language of the team is English.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test and document well performing, scaling and resilient deployment scenarios.
• Work with Azure development on testing SAP workloads on Azure
• Develop scripts for efficiently testing SAP workloads on Azure.
• Investigate and troubleshoot complex customer scenarios.
• Work with select customers and be the interface between SAP customers who deploy on Azure and the Azure core development.
• Support the Microsoft customer facing personnel to successfully promote SAP workload scenarios on Azure infrastructure.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

• OR equivalent experience.
• SAP Basis Skills: SAP HA/DR Design, SAP Operational Best Practices
• OS Skills: deep technical knowledge on at least one of the following \xe2\x80\x93 Windows, Linux (SLES or RHEL), UNIX. Knowledge should include performance analysis and debugging. Deep knowledge of HA/DR technologies, including design and implementation of Geographically Dispersed HA/DR solutions
• RDBMS Skills: deep knowledge including performance query analysis, sizing, HA/DR and storage/disk design of SAP HANA and at least 1-2 of the following: SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, DB2, MaxDB
• Hyper-Visor/Cloud/Networking Skills: Able to design, deploy and troubleshoot solutions based on the following: Azure or AWS

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science

• OR related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript,
• OR Python
• OR Master\'s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR equivalent experience.
• The candidate will have 7 years of experience, preferably as SAP Basis Architect with a mix of architecture and technical lead roles.
