Job Description

Job brief We are looking for an outstanding Senior Software Engineer to be responsible for the implementation, maintain and further improvement of the system and design of our ecommerce system. Responsibilities include building our website from concept all the way to completion from the bottom up, fashioning everything from the home page to site layout and function. That also includes the back-end of our existing system, including our database, CMS, inventory, sale report system, and internal tools. Job responsibilities

• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices

• Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices

• Develop and upgrade our current framework (Based on Opencart 1.5.6)

• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs

• Create and maintain software documentation

• Be responsibile for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our websites

• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities

• Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent

• Work with our Marketing team to improve the SEO of our website

• Proven working experience in web programming as well as backend system programming (have at least 6 years of experience)

• Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS

• Must have expert level skill with at the following programming languages: PHP, Javascript, Ruby.

• Must be very familiar with databases system, including MySQL, MongoDB and Redis.

• Must have at least 24 months of experience with OpenCart framework (1.x, 2.x and 3.x).

• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices

• Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development

• Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools

• Advance knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process

• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills

• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen

• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.

• BS in computer science/engineering or a related field
