• Drive sourcing initiatives and follow through end-to-end Procurement Cycle, including contract management.
• Drive Supplier consolidation and rationalization to maximise efficiency and leverage on economies of scale across Mediacorp group.
• Negotiate contract terms and conditions effectively to ensure completeness, timeliness and compliance in accordance with Procurement policies, processes and be able to advice businesses on implication of the commercial contractual terms.
• Understand the needs of business and possess knowledge in the supply market.
• Be a strategic partner to the Business Units and stake holders in providing advice and support on Procurement related matters including areas of risk, cost and benefit analysis, resolution of issues/conflicts etc and ensure timeliness on the completion of the project.
• Partner with business units to negotiate terms in agreement and develop strategies to maximize cost savings.
• Review and establish Approved Vendor Lists for regular/frequent Suppliers for business units under charge.
• Conduct annual performance review on key suppliers and highlight area of risks and take corrective actions as required.
• Identify deficiencies or improvements required in the Procurement process and propose corrective actions.
• Support Sourcing Manager or Department Head on development of procurement policies and procedures to drive continuous process improvement.
• Perform analysis on Procurement related data to facilitate decision making (as and when required) and support Sourcing Manager on developing Procurement Strategies.
• Conduct Procurement training and guidance on Procurement Policy, Process and SOP to Users.
• Mentor new Buyers and Industrial Attachment Students.
• Any other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration is preferred
• Minimum 6 years relevant working experience
• Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
• Meticulous and attention to details
• Self motivated and proactive
• Analytical with strong problem solving abilities
• Good in excel skills. Knowledge in SAP system preferred
