The Client

Our Client is a prominent financial institution that provides an extensive array of financial services to both individuals and businesses. The bank has strong commitement to ensuring financial stability, adhering to regulatory compliance, and actively engaging in community development.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to MAS regulatory reporting requirements and remaining vigilant about regulatory changes.
• Financial Supervision: Overseeing financial control procedures, including the maintenance of accounting schedules and the creation of journal entries.
• Reporting Obligations: Compiling monthly financial reports for both internal and head office purposes, with an emphasis on accuracy and punctuality.
• Reconciliation Duties: Executing daily and monthly reconciliation tasks for Nostro and General Ledger accounts, in addition to preparing reconciliation statements.
• Tax and GST Assistance: Assisting with corporate tax return preparations and the handling of Goods and Services Tax (GST) submissions.
• Documentation Management: Developing and keeping standard operating procedures (SOPs) current to uphold best practices.
• Process Enhancement: Identifying and implementing improvements in processes aimed at enhancing efficiency and delivering increased value to the business.

Requirements

• At least a bachelor\'s degree in Finance or Accountancy is required.
• A background of about 3 years in the banking industry is necessary.
• A deep understanding of MAS notices and regulatory reporting criteria is crucial.
