About The Role Reporting to Head of Credit, you are responsible to support in setting Borouge PTE’s strategic governance and assurance direction, improving quality of the credit report, providing effective credit risk management and driving credit performance. Reporting and Assurance includes centralize reporting and governance assurance. This position is based in Singapore.
Key Accountabilities
Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for centralize reporting and governance assurance across Borouge PTE, covering Middle East Africa and Europe, Asia Pacific (Asia North and Asia South)
  • Manage the full reporting activities across Borouge territory and Borealis territory for Borouge materials.
  • Centralize reporting to ensure data integrity and one version of true
  • Standardize and harmonize process, procedure, methodology and reporting across the regional credit teams to achieve functional excellence
  • Act as a focal point of regional credit teams and relevant stakeholder to streamline role, improve process, and enhance system configuration and reporting
  • Key user of SAP - credit management
  • Support renewal of credit insurance program
  • Support ad hoc request for additional analysis, new report, creating model to analyse impact and feasibility etc.
  • Credit operation for region assigned
  • Participate in the cross function credit risk management project team to implement credit risk management across the company
Reporting
  • Prepare weekly/monthly credit report to ensure relevance data is useful to stakeholders to manage credit risk
  • Develop, evaluate, monitor and promote continuous improvement of credit reporting to ensure efficiency and accuracy
  • Work closely with Head of Credit Analysis and Regional Head of Credit Operation to develop reporting to measure and monitor the credit performance and credit portfolio
  • Develop and prepare credit reporting to Borealis
  • Prepare reports related to credit insurance program across Borouge PTE
Governance Assurance
  • Review the effectiveness of internal control (system, process, reporting etc.) and recommend improvement
  • Review regularly the system configuration that has impact to credit risk such as payment terms configuration, credit block criteria etc.
  • Develop credit breach reporting for governance assurance
  • Implement audit recommendations and management action plans across the regional credit teams
  • Monitor and reporting of compliance with Credit Procedure and credit limits, as well as compliance with credit terms specified in commercial contracts or other credit structures
  • Keep management informed of any significant credit breach
  • Monitor the outstanding action points of regional Credit Watch Committee
  • Monitor and close the outstanding internal audit findings
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to improve the customer master data governance and the quality of the data
  • Work with BPS in the enhancement of SAP/BW functionality to accurately capture credit exposures


Qualification & Experience


Minimum Qualification

  • University degree in Credit Risk Management / Finance / Accounting / Economics / Business or related discipline

  • A minimum of 7 years of reporting and assurance experience from multinational companies

  • A minimum of 4 years of proven track record in a similar position in an internationally operating company

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skill
  • Work with regionally distributed credit team
  • Experience from the chemicals / petrochemicals industry is preferred but not a requirement
  • Thorough understanding of credit risk analysis, financial instruments, trade financing, banking regulatory, macroeconomic issue, international trade and monetary flow
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Knowledge of other languages would be an advantage
  • Advance Excel skill and experienced with SAP is preferred
