About the job:
The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a talented Senior Specialist Solutions Architect focused on application development to join us in Singapore, covering the Singapore market. In this role, you will provide presales support for hybrid cloud platforms, cloud-native development, and middleware solutions in key enterprise accounts, government agencies, and service provider partners. You'll work with customers to build a relationship of trust and confidence between Red Hat and customer engineering, development, and operations teams, while gaining an understanding of their business needs and aligning them with our solutions. You’ll also design and deliver evaluations, proofs of concepts, and pilots of our offerings and play a crucial role in bringing together internal cross-functional teams to satisfy our most challenging customers. As a Senior Specialist Solutions Architect, you will serve as a customer advocate to build the best solutions and ensure that they are implemented and supported in an innovative and reliable way. You’ll also need to have excellent communication and people skills because you'll be a crucial part of the first major experience our customers have with Red Hat. You’ll also need to be aware of the latest trends in technologies. What you will do:

• Present and demo Red Hat’s hybrid cloud, cloud-native development, and middleware solutions to potential customers, designing value-driven architectures and explaining the application and ROI of these solutions
• Gain deep understanding of customer business and IT environments and collaborate with sales teams to assess the potential application of Red Hat’s solutions
• Support the Sales team by delivering compelling Red Hat value propositions that will result in the closing of new sales
• Serve as a technical point of contact for current and prospective customers and the Sales team
• Form relationships with our customers’ technical teams to identify new opportunities
• Lead and support presales pilots, demonstrations, proofs of concepts, evaluations, and benchmarks

What you will bring:

• 5+ years of experience working as a sales engineer or in an equivalent role supporting enterprise accounts
• 5+ years of experience with Java in enterprise development
• 3+ years of experience working with hybrid cloud platforms and cloud-native development
• Good knowledge of middleware technologies including ESB, messaging platform, and API management
• Good knowledge of open source cloud Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions like Red Hat OpenShift and related technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, etc.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Good knowledge of networking and storage
