Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience with design and architecture, and testing/launching software products.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English fluently to partner with local clients and regional partners.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in a technical leadership role, guiding project direction and mentoring other engineers.
• Experience with software development in C++ or Python, and with large-scale distributed systems or infrastructure.
• Experience in managing a portfolio of concurrent engineering projects.
• Experience with storage technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive the technical roadmap for the Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) storage client portfolio. Work with customers and product leaders to understand AI/ML workloads, and plan the storage solution that provides the quality performance, and user experience, then recommend and implement that solution.
• Lead the architecture of integrated storage solutions. Own the analysis of performance bottlenecks.
• Act as the architectural bridge between the Google Cloud Storage (GCS), Lustre, and other core engineering. Align technical roadmaps and ensure a an engineering direction.
• Mentor executive engineers across the organization and elevate the technical bar for the entire storage group through design leadership.
• Work with stakeholders and key customers to understand the tests and requirements of the AI/ML users.
